Download the correct game
Use the English official website to reach the App Store or Google Play. Look for BLEACH Mirrors High from Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is free to download, with in-game purchases and loot boxes; a free download does not mean all content or summons are free.
Bandai Namco’s launch announcement is dated 28 October 2026. If a store says the app is unavailable, check the region and device requirements shown there. Do not use an unofficial download just because its page claims to bypass an availability restriction.
Action Cards: read the attack and its condition
The official system combines a three-character team with Action Cards, Mortal Blows and Soul Drive. Character introductions separate Arts 1, Arts 2, a Skill and a Mortal Blow. A Skill can be a buff or control effect rather than another damage button: Rukia’s Bakudo #1: Sai inflicts Bind, while Ichigo’s The Resolve to Kill increases his attack.

Open the original videoArts matchups: choose the card that answers the attack
Game8 and Gamerch’s release guides describe a three-way matchup: red Power Arts beat green Blitz Arts, green beat blue Projectile Arts, and blue beat red. These are Action Card categories. They are separate from a character’s attribute color, so a blue character is not automatically the answer to a red Arts card.
For practice, watch the opponent’s next action, identify its card category and look for the favorable answer in your hand. The reports call a successful advantageous hit a Counter Hit. Matching close-range categories can instead create a Clash; two projectile Arts cancel one another rather than starting that Clash. A matchup is a reason to choose a card, not a promise that pressing it at any distance or timing will land.
| Your Arts category | Strong against | Weak against |
|---|---|---|
| Power · red | Blitz · green | Projectile · blue |
| Blitz · green | Projectile · blue | Power · red |
| Projectile · blue | Power · red | Blitz · green |
Five archetypes, different ways to contribute
The published lineup gives each character a combat archetype. Read these examples as roles to investigate, not mandatory classes or a requirement to put one of each on your three-slot team.
| Archetype | A useful published example |
|---|---|
| Combo | Combo — Ichigo builds pressure through Arts hits; Toshiro works with critical-hit effects. |
| Clash | Clash — Renji has effects connected to countering and Clash outcomes. |
| Shadow | Shadow — Yoruichi’s successful Vanishing Evasion can increase her attack. |
| Chain | Chain — Rangiku can support the team when returning to standby. |
| Shield | Shield — Sado’s Cover Change interaction changes the switching trade-off. |
First session: read before you spend
Start with the tutorial, choose a free-retry keeper, then claim the rewards your current notices make available. Move into the story with a small core you understand. The useful first-day goal is a functioning team and a protected save, rather than a collection of partially built characters.
- Read the retry guide before accepting your first summon. Pick an attacker or a support plan you want to build around, and keep the free retry separate from paid or stone-funded banners.
- Open the beginner mission list once it becomes available. Let story progress and normal battles complete several requirements together, then collect the corresponding rewards.
- Check what stops your next clear before spending: a low character level, a reached level cap, an unfamiliar card matchup or a team condition that never activates each calls for a different response.
Stuck in the story? Check levels before chasing another summon
Game8’s early-progression guide recommends leveling the main characters you use and concentrating the first materials on one or two core units. It reports that matching a crystal’s attribute to its recipient improves its effect, and that grade promotion raises a character’s level cap. Check those two screens separately: an ordinary level increase and a cap increase solve different problems.
An upgrade can improve a character’s numbers without fixing the plan. If you keep attacking into the wrong Arts matchup, or your support effect needs a status ailment that never lands, return to the combat and team sections. A new summon is an expensive way to avoid identifying the actual obstacle.
- Losing because your active character takes too much damage? Inspect its level and defenses, then retry with the same team after a focused upgrade. This gives you a clearer comparison than changing all three slots at once.
- At the displayed level cap? Read the promotion requirements and the beginner mission rewards before spending more leveling materials. More crystals alone do not address a cap.
- Short of crystals? Game8 lists EXP battle rewards, Arena rewards and an exchange as sources. Use the destinations currently open in your client; this guide does not require stone-funded refreshes.
Beginner missions: start the tasks that take more than one day
The release mission guide covers story progress, login rewards, daily battles, Arena, exploration, room rewards and character growth. Some tasks naturally advance together; others need returns on different days. Check your own mission list rather than assuming a Japanese guide’s reward total or deadline applies to every global account.
- Start login and room-reward requirements early. A long session today cannot replace a requirement to return on another day.
- Before repeating a stage, see whether the next story or growth objective will also complete a beginner task. Collecting its reward may supply the material you were about to seek elsewhere.
- Keep summon tickets and Mirror Stones distinct. Read which banner a ticket can enter; an item with a summon icon is not automatically usable on the limited pickup you want.
Launch-announced starter characters
The publisher named these two gifts at launch. Use the complete version name and rarity when comparing them with a summon result. The announcement does not establish how either version ranks, and claim conditions remain subject to the game’s notices.
| Character | Version title | Announced rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Ichigo Kurosaki | [Substitute Soul Reaper] | ★3 |
| Rukia Kuchiki | [Squad 13 Lieutenant] | ★3 |
The same announcement mentions Mirror Stones for 30 summons. That describes the launch announcement, not a promise of 30 free pulls for every account at any future date.
Why the same character appears as ★3 and ★4
A launch Reddit thread asks why several rarities of the same character exist. Game8’s released-game explanation reports that both ★3 and ★4 characters have Mortal Blows, while ★4 has higher base stats and capacity for more additional passive abilities. That makes the ★3 Ichigo and Rukia gifts identifiable starting options, rather than the ★4 entries in a tier list.
Keep three questions separate when you spend materials: which exact unit is this, how far have I leveled or promoted it, and what additional effects have its limit breaks unlocked? Game8 describes limit breaks as developing Innate Abilities through character shards. That is not evidence that investing in the ★3 gift turns it into the separately rated ★4 version.
Character checklist: compare the exact version
A familiar name is not enough to identify a playable unit. Before following any recommendation, compare the full version title, rarity and skill text against the character you own. Keep those details together in your notes.
- Read what each Action Card does, including its target, conditions and any stated restrictions.
- Read the Mortal Blow and passive effects rather than assuming a higher rarity fills a particular team role.
- Check whether a guide uses the live release, the closed beta or an official preview. Our team guide separates the confirmed system from unverified optimized lineups.
Official character previews: useful, with limits
The official site published a character-introduction index on 23 October 2026. Its individual articles describe preview abilities, including Rukia’s status effects and Toshiro’s critical-hit interaction. The pages warn that the content was under development and may change.
Use those articles to find questions to check in the live client. We have not established a complete mapping between their preview kits and every launch rarity or version, so we do not attach those skills to the ★3 gifts above.
Protect your account with Data Link
Official support describes linking from the app’s Home screen: open Menu, choose Data Link, then follow the instructions for an offered account-linking method. Check the instructions for your platform and keep access to the linked login.
- Android support lists Bandai Namco ID or Google Play Games. The iOS FAQ describes Bandai Namco ID; follow the current instructions for your platform.
- Use a stable connection for a transfer. Before moving to a new device, review the separate transfer instructions and confirm which save you are selecting.
- Across different operating systems, Mirror Stones and subscriptions do not transfer according to the official FAQ. Do not assume the balance on one platform will appear on the other.
Your Soul Reaper and the story setting
Mirrors High begins after the Thousand-Year Blood War, with an original Soul Reaper story and a soul awakening in Karakura Town. Avatar customization includes appearance choices and Zanpakuto parts. The fifteen newly announced story characters are not automatically fifteen summonable launch units; use the separate combat lineup for that question.

Early mistakes to avoid
- Treating a launch reward announcement as an ongoing offer without checking the claim window.
- Spending on the strength of a character name while overlooking its rarity, version or current kit.
- Following a beta pull rate, reset instruction or tier position as if it had been checked in the released game.
- Switching operating systems before reading the restrictions on Mirror Stones and subscriptions.
- Assuming that uninstalling the app cancels a paid subscription. The international Google Play listing says it does not; manage any subscription through the relevant store.
